How to Lose a Beer Belly and Get a Flat Stomach
Tons of guys, and some gals, have what we call a beer belly. Even though we call it that, beer alone is not the reason you have extra fat around your belly. But it sure does not help. I want to go over how you can lose that beer belly and get a flat toned stomach.
Cut the Alcohol
The first thing that you need to do is cut down on your alcohol consumption. It is loaded with carbs that are packing the pounds onto your mid section. Even cutting down on your intake can help a lot.
You are going to have to work hard to get all of the belly fat gone, but with hard work and a good nutrition plan, you can get some great results.

Hit the Weights Hard
The first thing that you need to do is hit the gym, or some type of home gym. You need to start out lifting the most weight that you can to boost your metabolism. Try to get a weight that you can do around 6-10 reps with, and that is it. Lifting with heavier weights will get your body to start working hard, and that is what we want.
We want your body to say hey, I need to boost my metabolism to keep up with this work. You can scale back after a little while, but at first, hit the weights hard and never look back. Just go out and do it.
Cardio Workouts
The next thing that you need to do is start doing some cardio workouts. Now, the way I recommend doing these may be slightly different that what you think you should do.
Start out sprinting. So jogging or running when you first start your routine. This will release tons of fatty acids. Then, during the next phase of your cardio workout, which is slower paced, you will be burning all of those fats.
Then after a set of slower cardio, do sprints again. Then slow it down. And continue this process through your entire cardio routine.
This will also help keep you from getting bored so easily and giving up. Keep things mixed up and have fun with it. You will see much better results doing it this way.
Beer Belly Diet
It is time to cut your beer intake. It is filled with bad carbs that are getting packed in around your gut. You need to start eating more protein. Then, right after your workout you need to get some good carbs in. And finally, to fill in the rest of your calorie intake, you will need fat calories.
This is what a balanced diet is all about. And the good thing about eating more protein is that your body actually burns calories just by digesting the proteins. So, you can be sitting on the couch burning calories from that lean steak you just ate. Pretty cool stuff.
