Learn How You Can Get Washboard Abs
Many people desire to have that perfect stomach and get washboard abs. And most people want to get it done fast. I want to go over a few things that you need to know so that you will know how to get washboard abs.
How Long Will It Take?
It varies from person to person, but if you stick to a good nutrition plan and a good workout plan you should be able to get washboard abs in 3 to 6 months, depending on were you are at right now.
If you have already been working out and only have a small layer of fat over your abs, you will obviously get faster results. If you are just getting started it will take longer, but the results are well worth it.
Why Do You Want Washboard Abs?
In order to stay motivated and stay focused, you have to find out why. Do you want to be able to take your shirt off and be proud, or go to the beach without worrying about people staring at you, or you want to wear a bikini, etc? Find out why you want great abs and you will find that it is much easier to get motivated each day to work out and eat right.
Post your motivation on the wall or refrigerator if you have to. But keep focused and you will get great results.
Will You Have to Do Endless Cardio?
Cardio workouts are great for getting your fat content down and getting that final layer of fat off of your belly. But, how much do you really have to do?
Not as much as you think. What I recommend you do is start off your workout with sprints. Do small bursts of running or jogging, then slow it down just a little. Then do sprints again, and slow down again. Keep this process going.
By doing sprints you are forcing your fatty acids to be released. Then, when you slow it down just a little you will burn those fatty acids off much faster, and ultimately get faster results.
Trust me. Do this and get better results. Slow cardio alone will get results as well, but not as much as sprints.
Washboard Abs Diet
You need to get more protein in your diet, and cut the bad fats out. Make your protein intake just under 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. But do not go above 1.5. Then eat carbs right after working out. Then fill in the remainder with good fat calories.
